Constitutional court blocks €60bn reallocation
The ruling tears a hole in federal financial planning.

On 15 November 2023 Germany's Federal Constitutional Court declared the second supplementary budget for 2021 void.
As a result, €60bn in borrowing authority originally intended for pandemic measures cannot be used for the Climate and Transformation Fund.
