UBS takes over Credit Suisse
An emergency takeover is brokered by Swiss authorities.

On 19 March 2023 UBS agreed to acquire Credit Suisse for around CHF 3bn.
The deal was backed by the Swiss government, the Swiss National Bank and FINMA, after confidence in Credit Suisse had deteriorated sharply.
