SEC approves spot bitcoin ETFs
For the first time, US exchange-traded funds may hold bitcoin directly.

On 10 January 2024 the SEC approved the listing of several spot bitcoin ETFs.
The regulator stressed that the approval does not constitute an endorsement of bitcoin.
