German state takes over Uniper
The gas importer is set to be majority-nationalised.

On 21 September 2022 the German government announced it would take a majority stake in gas importer Uniper.
Uniper had run into difficulties because of missing Russian supplies and costly replacement purchases. The aim is to secure gas supply.
